Im loving the weather!!!

After a very miserable weekend because of the heat, I woke up this morning to a wonderful surprise. It was sunny and 70 degrees outside with no humidity!!! I had a much more enjoyable walk to class this morning. Now I can't wait until Ryan gets home from work so we can take the dogs out for a long walk.

Ryan and I went home this weekend in hopes of a good time at the Countryfest in Maria Stein but instead we lasted about two hours until we finally couldn't take anymore of the sweat running down our faces. So instead we went back to New Bremen and just sat in the nice cool air conditioning, had a few beers, and caught up with some good friends. Hopefully this coming weekend stays nice so we have a good time at some 4th of July parties! Wow...I cant believe its already July....where is the summer going?

Inspiration at Goodwill.

I spent this beautiful Friday afternoon inspiration hunting at Goodwill.

I found a lot of great prints to work with. I found a few vintage flower prints that were originally sheets so I am really excited to make cute little handbags out of those. I found some vintage frames that I was to paint and use for my wall collage. One think that really caught my eye was a red flower print placemat. I knew it would made the cutest little pocket book so as soon as I got home I had to start cutting.

When I get an idea in my head, I usually have to go with it write away. I finished the little pocket book this afternoon already, and now I am just waiting for an idea to pop in my head for all my new fabric!!!

Finally getting a life!

So I realized just how badly things need to start picking up.

I was so bored today that I actually started decorating my computer screen. Thats when you know you need to get a life. Its a good thing that I start classes on Monday because I am just not one of those people that can stay home all day and try to keep myself entertained. Mad props to stay at home moms because I would go INSANE!

Im getting really excited also about going home this weekend. Although I would never say Im a small town girl, because I'm really not. But I love small town festivals back home. Its always a good time getting together with all our friends, with good music, and lots of beer! Its also going to be bittersweet because my Mom has been getting on me to start clearing out my room back home so they can put it to use :(...(I just hope they keep the hott pink walls!!!)

But I did finally get out of the apartment today and took a little trip to Joann Fabrics, and I found some really cute fabric to make little wristlet purses out of so I am really excited to get all my sewing stuff back up here from home to I can start stopping up my projects to sell on Etsy!!!

Well...I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend! Love Love!

Wedding Pictures Are In!!!

I was so....excited to pick up our wedding pictures today! Our friend Bethany Dye (Breakthrough Images) did a fantastic job. I'm not really sure what I was expecting but they definitely exceeded my expectations by far!

I would refer her to anyone! The pictures were everything I wanted. It was important to us
that they really show who we are...instead of so many posed, unnatural photos like
the norm. They really tell a story about Ryan and I. The grooms photos are some of my favorites. Growing up with the Koverman's and Ryan, I thought the photos captured all their personalities perfectly.

Bethany really listened to us and what we wanted. I love the fact that she included all of our guest because our friends and family really made the day special.

I hope everyone enjoys checking out our photos. Most are posted on my Facebook! Thanks again Bethany!!!

More time on my hands...

So now that its summer, and all the wedding stuff is behind us I have much more time to focus on my hobbies.

One of my goals now is to make more time for sewing, painting, and creating new crafts. I bought this book last Decemeber and I finally have time to sit and go through the book. I absolutely love it and cant wait to start on something new. First I plan to finish a painting that I started for our new apartment, but I will keep everyone updated on my new creations!

Hello!

Hello All,

This is my new blog, and it stands as a way to publish my journey of finding myself.

I have been through my struggles, and now its time to focus on my life and how I want to live it. I just recently got married to the love of my life. I am finishing up my degree as an intervention specialist. I am currently enjoying summer vacation, and working on the many goals I have set for myself. I hope that you all enjoy following my blog and getting to know me more!
